CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Feb. 15, 2013) - Wild Rose Brewery announces that it has received 12 months' notice from Canada Lands Company. Its lease for Building AF23 at Currie Barracks will not be renewed and the company will need to relocate its popular brewery and Tap Room by February 2014. Bill McKenzie, CEO adds "We have a great relationship with Canada Lands Company and we are working with them to find a new location within the Barracks."
"We anticipated this event, though the dates have only recently been confirmed. It's fortunate that we were proactive and secured a new brewing location which is on track to be open in the fall of 2013." said McKenzie. "We hope to stay at the Barracks, the neighbourhood has accepted us as part of their community, hopefully this notice opens up new opportunities." Our plan has always been to operate two separate locations, our new location in the Foothills Industrial park will provide capacity that we need to meet demand plus we are currently searching for a location to relocate our current Brewhouse and Tap Room. The Tap Room allows Wild Rose to showcase its brands and pair great beer with great food and the current Brewhouse is the perfect size to brew small batch specialty brands.
Wild Rose Brewery invites Calgary to visit its popular Tap Room at the Currie Barracks throughout 2013. Our Tap Room is open for business; stop in for a fresh beer and a great meal.
