Wildchild Nation's LISTEN Campaign Co-Sponsors Benefit Concert for US Doctors for Africa Featuring Yung Joc, Fat Joe, Faith Evans, and More

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - October 16, 2008) - Wildchild Nation (WCN) prepares for the Pandemonium '08 Concert on Saturday where 15,000-17,000 people are estimated to gather. On October 11, 2008, US Doctors for Africa (USDFA) in conjunction with City of Youth, and Wildchild Nation's LISTEN Campaign present the Pandemonium Concert, featuring pop and hip hop stars Yung Joc, Fat Joe, Faith Evans, and more, at the Arrowhead Credit Union Park in San Bernardino, California.

The LISTEN Campaign is Wildchild Nation's global relief effort to promote awareness and change. LISTEN researches and partners with key organizations to educate and help create the change WCN promotes. "Fashion is the platform we use to bring people together," says Traci Copeland, co-founder of Wildchild Nation. "It's about being connected, a part of the Wildchild Nation movement."

The partnership began in 2007 when, with aspirations to connect the world through fashion, music, and expression, Wildchild Nation launched LISTEN with their first initiative, listen:Africa, and selected US Doctors for Africa as the partner. They created the listen:africa hoody under L.U.A.M., their streetwear brand, and presented Ted Alemayu, Founder and CEO of USDFA, with a check from those proceeds upon their first meeting. "I was so impressed that they came to the table with not just an idea, but the finished product and execution; I knew together we would effect great change."

The story continues as Wildchild Nation, clothing sponsor for this concert, presents the official Project Mobile T-shirt, with proceeds going to USDFA's Project Mobile Clinic Africa. "With this t-shirt, we want people to not only feel fashionable by wearing a piece incorporating our signature design elements, but also empowered and actively a part of something much larger than themselves," says Marc David, co-founder of WCN.

Proceeds from clothing and ticket sales will go to US Doctors for Africa's Project Mobile Clinic Africa. This initiative sends mobile clinics and health care resources to travel throughout Africa providing aid where it's most needed. "All of us at USDFA are grateful for the wonderful support Wildchild Nation is committed to providing," says Alemayu. "We are very much looking forward to a long term partnership to help generate additional funding for Project Mobile Clinic Africa."
