WildPackets Joins Esteemed Vendors as Part of InteropNet

WildPackets Selected for Its Industry-Leading Network Forensics, Real-Time Analysis and Advanced Troubleshooting Capabilities

WALNUT CREEK, CA--(Marketwired - May 6, 2013) - WildPackets, Inc., a leading provider of network and application performance analysis solutions, today announced the company's Omnipliance solutions will be a part of Interop's Network Operations Center (NOC). Omnipliances will detect and diagnose network problems to ensure that the vendors and attendees experience a high-performance network, seamless network connections and maximum uptime at the show.

WildPackets is part of the group of volunteers and vendors that build and run the internal Interop network, InteropNet. The InteropNet is the cornerstone of the Interop event, supplying the exhibitors and attendees with the most reliable, high-speed network throughout the conference. With new, innovative network technologies, InteropNet is a premier showcase of current and future networks, demonstrating how to design, deploy and manage a multi-vendor converged services network.

WildPackets was chosen for its advanced troubleshooting and analysis capabilities in highly complex networks and its seamless interoperability with other products featured in the NOC. Interop vendors and attendees demand a lot of bandwidth to guarantee their product demos run smoothly and to stay connected during the show. With the number of devices deployed as well as the bandwidth needed to run the show, operating a highly reliable, high-performance network is a challenge and the ability to troubleshoot and quickly resolve issues is the top priority. The Omnipliance real-time analysis, forensics and troubleshooting capabilities on both the wired and wireless network will play a critical role in finding and resolving network and application problems quickly.

"Networking technology is forever-changing, and Interop provides an open forum for vendors and network engineers to showcase and discuss some of the hottest technologies and trends in the industry," said Joe Habib, WildPackets Director of Global Services. "WildPackets is thrilled to be involved in InteropNet and to work with the other top vendors to make sure the network is up and running for Interop vendors and attendees."

Specific Omnipliance features on display:

  • Network Analysis and Troubleshooting: Omnipliance solutions provide high-level visibility into the health of both the wired and wireless network segments in a single view. Ominpliance is able to perform real-time analysis of network traffic. If a problem occurs, Omnipliance rapidly can drill down to the packet level to discover even the most granular of problems and remedy performance bottlenecks.
  • Wireless Capabilities (BYOD detection): Omnipliance helps validate the placement of access points and determines signal strength. It also detects and investigates BYOD issues when wireless devices are in motion.
