WHERE:

Packet loss is a frequent problem in systems and can be particularly noticeable with real-time data like voice or video IP. This session will cover:

  • What you should do if your system continually drops packets.
  • What equipment you need to have in place for packet capture and packet loss.
  • What are the best practices you can apply to avoid the problem in the first place.

WildPackets will be presenting best practices on network forensics, which is the process of capturing, storing and analyzing network data. This practice is often used to help discover the source of security attacks, but can also be used to pinpoint the source of intermittent performance issues.
