ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwired - May 07, 2013) - Dr. Will Hakes, Co-Founder and CEO of Link Analytics, has been invited to serve as the Co-Chair and Keynote Speaker for the 2013 SAS Analytics Conference. Hakes will be co-chairing this upcoming event with Dr. Jerry L. Oglesby, the Director of Higher Education Consulting and Global Certification within the Education Division at SAS. The 2013 SAS Analytics Conference will be taking place at the Peabody Hotel in Orlando, FL on October 21 and 22nd.
This bi-annual industry-leading conference will bring together hundreds of analytics professionals to learn the latest trends, techniques, and research in the field of analytics. Last year's event, held in Las Vegas, featured three keynote speakers, nine featured speakers, and more than 50 breakout sessions on topics such as data mining, forecasting, text analytics, high-performance analytics, predictive modeling and fraud detection.
Last year, Hakes delivered the Keynote address at the 2012 SAS Analytics Conference entitled, 'The Big Data Revolution Has Just Begun.' Stated Jerry Oglesby of SAS, who selected Will as Keynote and Co-Chair, "Will is an extremely innovative and charismatic speaker. His delivery of the SAS 2012 Keynote address received phenomenal feedback. Hakes, along with Oglesby of SAS, will be responsible for selecting other keynotes, crafting the breakout session topics, and inviting and approving speakers.
