OKEMOS, MI--(Marketwired - February 09, 2016) - The Board of Directors of the Michigan Manufactured Housing, Recreation Vehicle and Campground Association (MMHRVCA) has appointed current Director William (Bill) Sheffer, to the position of executive director effective July 1, 2016 upon the retirement of 38-year veteran Executive Director Tim DeWitt.
Sheffer has been director of the Michigan Manufactured Housing, Recreational Vehicle and Campground Association (MMHRVCA) since 1995.
As executive director, Sheffer will be in charge of association business affairs and staff management, developing association membership initiatives, creating educational and enrichment programs for members and developing strong relationships within the legislative leaders and state regulatory agencies, among other duties.
"Bill Sheffer has provided strong leadership for the associations in the 20 years he has been working with our members," said Steve Francis, chairman of the Executive Board, Michigan Manufactured Housing RV & Campground Association. "We know Bill will continue to direct the associations' development and provide important services to the association membership."
MMHRVCA is the umbrella association for the Michigan Manufactured Housing Association (MMHA), a non-profit trade association representing the manufactured housing industry in Michigan; the Michigan Association of Recreation Vehicles and Campgrounds (MARVAC), a non-profit organization dedicated to encouraging growth in the recreation vehicle and private campground industries while contributing to the quality of Michigan tourism. In addition, MMHRVCA manages the non-profit Self-Storage Association of Michigan formed in 2007 to respond to the needs of the self-storage owners and operators throughout the state.
