Williams Controls Promotes Ken Hendrickson to VP Manufacturing

PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwire - May 17, 2011) - Williams Controls, Inc. (NASDAQ: WMCO) today announced the promotion of Ken Hendrickson to vice president manufacturing. In this capacity, Hendrickson is responsible for managing the company's global manufacturing operations in Portland, OR, Suzhou, China, and Pune, India. He replaces Gary Hafner, who retired after 11 years of service to Williams Controls. Hendrickson will report to the company's President and CEO, Patrick W. Cavanagh.

Hendrickson joined Williams Controls in 2007 as Director of Quality. As the company's chief quality officer, he was instrumental in the development and implementation of consistent manufacturing processes worldwide. During his tenure, Hendrickson's work helped Williams earn additional quality certification and recognition from customers and regulators alike.

Prior to Williams, Hendrickson worked for Johnson Controls in several leadership positions, including focus factory manager, continuous improvement manager and the leadership development group. He began his career in electronic warfare with the Air National Guard, where he received several awards for distinguished service as part of the 110th fighter group.

Hendrickson earned a bachelor's degree in management studies from University of Maryland. He is also a Six Sigma Black Belt and certified in Lean Manufacturing.
