Williams Creek Gold Announces Changes to its Management and Board of Directors

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Dec. 26, 2014) - Williams Creek Gold Limited ("Williams Creek Gold" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:WCX) announces that Mr. Jim Wyant has retired as CEO of the Company. Williams Creek Gold would like to thank Mr. Wyant for his service to the Company and on a personal note Dr. Hans Black Chairman of the Board would like to thank Jim for his extraordinary efforts.

Mr. Stephen M. Leahy has been appointed as the new CEO of the Company as of December 26, 2014. Mr. Leahy is currently serving on the Board of Directors of the Company.

Mr. Leahy has extensive experience in the mining industry, with over two decades as Chairman and CEO of North American Tungsten Corporation Ltd. He has also served as the president of the International Tungsten Industry Association (ITIA) for two years, and has been a member of the ITIA Executive Committee for eight years. In addition, Mr. Leahy served as the director of the Mining Association of Canada from 2011-2013.

Dr. Hans Black, Chairman of the Board of Williams Creek Gold, said in making the announcement, "We are extremely fortunate to have someone of Stephen Leahy's reputation and experience joining our board.
