Williams Fresh Cafe in Brantford Reopens After Fire

BRANTFORD, ON--(Marketwired - April 11, 2016) - Williams Fresh Cafe is pleased to announce that the 615 West Street location in Brantford will reopen on April 11th. While the cafe was closed last year due to an electrical fire, the reconstruction efforts were seen as an opportunity to create an even better customer experience. The cafe features updated décor with a cleaner, warmer atmosphere, new equipment and furniture, as well as more plugs for computer and phone charging. From early risers needing their espresso shots and freshly baked pastries, to the lunch crowd seeking healthy meals without sacrificing speed of service, to late-night dinner groups, Williams in Brantford will meet customer needs by being open from dawn until late in the evening.

After the recent acquisition of Williams by DRUXY'S Famous Deli, the rebuilding plans were accelerated to ensure this neighbourhood favourite could continue to serve its community. Local residents and former regulars are not the only ones to benefit from the reopening. The company has reached out to staff that used to work at the cafe and many are returning.

"I know a lot of people are wondering why it took so long to reopen the West Street location. Part of it had to do with the timing of the transaction between Williams and DRUXY'S. Once the purchase was completed in January, we focused our resources on Brantford to make sure any downtime caused by the negotiations did not delay the reopening," said Bruce Druxerman, President of DRUXY'S Inc. "This reopening signals a new period of growth for Williams. It's been 8 years since a new location opened so we see this Brantford event as an important milestone in our efforts to further solidify our position as a well-respected coffee house brand."

"We are excited to be back on West Street in Brantford and begin our revitalization and growth plans across Ontario," added Harold Druxerman, Vice President of Finance at DRUXY'S Inc. "The one message I have for our many loyal Williams fans is that we are on our way to a neighbourhood near you. Six new Williams Fresh Cafes across Southern Ontario are already in the works for 2016 and we're just getting started!"

"Our field staff spent the past month readying the cafe for opening day, April 11th. The staff were trained in all aspects of the operation including how to prepare a few exciting new menu items," said Peter Druxerman, Vice President of Marketing at DRUXY's Inc. "And our new cafe owners, Rita and Rajesh, can't wait for the opening to welcome everyone back!"

About DRUXY'S Famous Deli

DRUXY'S Famous Deli was founded in 1976 by Bruce Druxerman with the goal of using the traditional deli format to offer fresh and healthy sandwiches, salads, soups, bagels and coffee to office workers in the downtown core of Toronto. Bruce was soon joined by brothers Harold and Peter and together they expanded the chain across Southern Ontario to 44 delis that include 11 hospitals and the Royal Ontario Museum. It is the focus on preparing traditional deli sandwiches from briskets of beef sliced steaming hot to order that truly differentiates DRUXY'S in the market place. This dedication to deli tradition permeates DRUXY'S operation from the quality of their product and personalized service to their choice of locations.
