Williams Scotsman Supplies Fox Sports Network With Modular Space for Postseason Baseball

Leading Modular Space Provider Delivers Station's Command Center for Postseason Baseball Series

BALTIMORE, MD and BOSTON, MA--(Marketwired - Oct 22, 2013) - Williams Scotsman, an Algeco Scotsman company and leading provider of modular space and storage solutions in North America, today announced it is supplying FOX Sports Network with a three-story Moduflex™ panelized modular space unit for the network's coverage of the postseason baseball series. FOX Sports is broadcasting from the Moduflex unit at Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts.

"The speed and flexibility of our Moduflex solution made the execution of this project possible, especially when considering the tight space constraints around Fenway Park coupled with the accelerated delivery schedule," said Joseph Vecchiolla, president of Williams Scotsman. "We received the request for the broadcasting space on a Tuesday and by Thursday the space was ready for FOX."

Unlike traditional temporary modular units, Moduflex units can expand vertically, offering customers the option to stack units up to three stories high. Williams Scotsman delivered and installed a three-story Moduflex complex creating 1,440 square feet of space for crew members, journalists and executives. The first floor of the Moduflex complex will serve as the FOX Sports production crew's command center, while the second and third floors will be home to the broadcasters and key executives.

"The three-story Moduflex complex is terrific," said FOX Sports senior vice president, field operations, Jerry Steinberg. "With limited space in the TV compound at Fenway Park, and the lack of available space around the stadium, every foot is valuable so the Moduflex is exactly what we needed. It's plenty big, comfortable and an efficient use of space."

Introduced in 2012, Moduflex is a panelized modular space unit that offers customers flexibility and multiple design options to optimize their temporary modular space. The Moduflex units feature double-glazed windows, interchangeable wall panels, a galvanized steel frame and a ceiling height of more than 8 feet.

Williams Scotsman installed the temporary Moduflex complex, which will remain on site throughout the duration of the postseason baseball series at Fenway Park.
