Williams Scotsman Supplies Modular Space for Professional Football's Big Game

Leading Modular Space Provider Delivers 180 Units to FOX Sports Network and Other Companies Involved in the Postseason Football Game

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ--(Marketwired - Jan 27, 2014) - Williams Scotsman, an Algeco Scotsman company and leading provider of modular space and storage solutions in North America, today announced it is supplying 180 units to multiple companies throughout the New York/New Jersey metro region for use before, during and after football's Big Game on February 2, 2014.

Among the companies is FOX Sports Network, which will be broadcasting from a 28-unit modular complex installed for the Big Game. Previously, FOX Sports Network utilized Williams Scotsman's modular space solutions during major league baseball's 2013 post-season baseball series, including a three-story broadcast station outside Fenway Park. Now for the National Football League's championship contest, they secured a multi-unit modular complex to serve as the network's production and broadcasting center at the Meadowlands Sports Complex.

"Moduflex was terrific during postseason baseball and we're thrilled to be working with Williams Scotsman again," said FOX Sports senior vice president, field operations, Jerry Steinberg. "The Meadowlands Complex has more space than Fenway Park, so we were able to design a temporary broadcasting facility that extends both horizontally as well as vertically, efficiently using every square foot around us."

In addition to traditional temporary modular units, Williams Scotsman is also delivering Moduflex™ units, which can expand vertically, offering customers the option to stack units up to three stories high. Introduced in 2012, Moduflex is a panelized modular space unit that offers customers flexibility and multiple design options to optimize their temporary modular space.

"Hosting an event of this size in the New York area requires intense collaboration, especially when considering the number of organizations logistically involved," said Ray Onofrio, Senior Director of Product Marketing at Williams Scotsman. "The flexibility and diversity of our modular space solutions allow us to fulfill the needs of so many different companies as they prepare for the Big Game, whether it's providing mobile office space or a broadcast command center."
