Wilson Chiropractor Brings Healing With Natural, Non-Invasive Treatments

WILSON, NC--(Marketwire - Feb 16, 2012) - Wilson pain patients have a new option for managing chronic pain. Kurtz Chiropractic announced that the practice offers non-invasive pain management, including the Palmer Technique for spinal adjustments and massage therapy for pain management for fibromyalgia and other personal injuries. These treatments are designed to promote internal healing and relieve chronic pain without the need for surgery or prescription painkillers.

Chiropractor Dr. Colin Kurtz announced his success treating patients with non-invasive chiropractic techniques. Dr. Kurtz, who has helped patients for the past 18 years as a chiropractor in Wilson, North Carolina, uses the Palmer Technique as an option for chiropractic care.

"My goal is to help patients achieve long-lasting pain relief without the need for invasive surgery or prescription painkillers," said Dr. Kurtz. "Many of my patients have tried everything and fear they will forever live with chronic pain. I'm here to tell them that there is hope!"

Dr. Kurtz graduated from the Palmer College of Chiropractic and as a Wilson chiropractor, he applies many of the principles he learned there when caring for his patients. The Palmer Technique emphasizes the importance of proper musculoskeletal alignment, especially for the upper cervical spine. A slip and fall, a personal injury or an auto accident injury like whiplash can cause the spine to become misaligned. According to Dr. Kurtz, when this occurs, patients suffer from pain, fatigue and are at risk for future injury.

"The Palmer Technique is a safe, effective treatment for restoring alignment to the musculoskeletal system following a personal injury," said Dr. Kurtz. "Proper alignment relieves neck pain, shoulder pain and headaches, and also promotes whole body wellness."

In addition to spinal adjustments, Dr. Kurtz also uses massage therapy to promote internal healing. Massage sessions are tailored to each patient's specific needs and are designed to help muscles relax and pain to subside from such chronic conditions as fibromyalgia. Massage treatments release tension locked inside deep tissue layers, which helps to relieve back pain, neck pain and headaches and helps to reduce muscle spasms. The act of massaging tissue also helps to promote the flow of fresh, oxygenated blood through the muscle tissue, which promotes healing.

Dr. Kurtz emphasized that every patient is unique, and his practice combines different therapies to accelerate the healing process. "Each patient has unique wellness needs, which is why we use a combination of therapies, including massage therapy. Our immediate goal is to relieve pain and promote healing, while our long-term goal is to optimize all aspects of our patient's health."
