WindPower Innovations Announces That Kelly J. Anderson Has Been Appointed as the Company's Chief Financial Officer

PHOENIX, AZ--(Marketwired - Jun 5, 2013) - WindPower Innovations, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: WPNV) announced today it has appointed Kelly J. Anderson, as its Chief Financial Officer effective June 29, 2013. 

Ms. Anderson is a certified public accountant who is currently the corporate controller at Fisker Automotive. She is a seasoned financial executive with public company compliance experience (Sox404), who has also previously served as a Chief Financial Officer and President in the same micro-cap space that WindPower inhabits and has raised over $30 million since 2008 in that arena. 

John Myers, CEO of WindPower Innovations, commented, "Our board of directors interviewed many potential candidates to join our team as our Chief Financial Officer. We were looking for someone who had been instrumental in multiple acquisitions, had compliance experience and had the contacts and proven track record to raise money to implement our business plan. About Kelly J. Anderson:

Ms. Anderson is a certified public accountant and seasoned financial executive. Concurrent with her appointment as WindPower Innovation's Chief Financial Officer Ms. Anderson is also serving since 2012 as the Corporate Controller of Fisker Automotive, Inc., and served on the Board of Directors, Audit Committee Chair, and on the Compensation Committee of the Psychic Friends Network, Inc. from 2012 through May 2013. Prior to joining Fisker Automotive, Ms. Anderson served from 2008 to 2012, first as Executive Vice President, then Chief Financial Officer and finally as President of T3 Motion, Inc.
