Windsor Housing Demand to Increase in 2012

WINDSOR, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 14, 2012) - According to Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation's (CMHC) Spring Housing Market Outlook report for the Windsor Census Metropolitan Area (CMA), housing starts and MLS® Sales are both forecast to increase in 2012 and 2013.

"Increasing employment and a growing population are expected to support housing markets in 2012," said Paul Tessaro, CMHC's Windsor Market Analyst. "While new home starts and MLS® sales are expected to decline in the second quarter of 2012 after an active first quarter, they will rise in the remainder of 2012. The existing home market will remain balanced in 2012 with the average price rising moderately."
