WindTamer Corporation Retains Dr. Kenneth D. Visser as a Technical Consultant

ROCHESTER, NY--(Marketwire - May 25, 2010) -  WindTamer Corporation ("WindTamer" or the "Company") (OTCBB: WNDT), a developer and manufacturer of a patented new wind turbine technology, announced today that it has retained Dr. Kenneth D. Visser as a technical consultant. Dr. Visser is the Director of the Center for Sustainable Energy Systems and an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering at Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York.

Dr. Visser has agreed to devote a substantial amount of his time over the next 90 days working directly with Adeeb Saba, WindTamer's Vice President of Operations and Head of Research and Development, and the rest of the WindTamer development team to further optimize the Company's wind turbine system utilizing an engineering-driven, analytical approach including full scale wind tunnel testing.

Dr. Visser completed his Ph.D. at the University of Notre Dame in 1991. His post-doctoral work was performed under the auspices of the National Research Council at the NASA Langley Basic Aerodynamic Research Tunnel (BART). Dr. Visser was subsequently employed by the Boeing Aircraft Company for five years and was involved in development and design aspects of two aircraft: the High Speed Civil Transport and the 767-400ER, the latter resulting in a patent of a novel raked aerodynamic wingtip currently being flown on the Boeing 767-400ER. Dr. Visser also participated in the design of the keel fin and appendages for the America's Cup Team 2000, AmericaOne, and worked with Fairchild Dornier Aircraft in Germany.

Dr. Visser's present responsibilities include teaching the senior aircraft design and performance courses at Clarkson University. His research activities focus on applied aerodynamics and renewable energy concepts. His current projects include wind turbine design optimization, passive reduction of drag on ground vehicles and design methodologies for aircraft wing tips.
