Winfield Engages TDI Technology Inc.

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Dec. 22, 2006) - WINFIELD RESOURCES LIMITED. ("Winfield") (TSX VENTURE:WWF) is pleased to announce that it has retained the services of TDI TECHNOLOGY INC. for a technical feasibility study to direct WINFIELD in undertaking the development of a fuel ethanol capital project. This study will determine the market potential of an ethanol plant in the High Level (or Peace River) area in Alberta. TDI TECHNOLOGY INC. will outline the alternative types of value-added ethanol projects, the opportunity benefits, the capital cost and the market potential based on a feedlot-ethanol complex.

TDI TECHNOLOGY INC. has direct experience in developing the fuel ethanol project concept and then carrying this concept through detailed design, equipment purchasing and construction.

TDI TECHNOLOGY INC. devised the feedlot-ethanol concept in Poundmaker, Saskatchewan.

The Poundmaker model utilizes the full wheat grain as its feedstock; apportioning the protein component into a slurry to feed 20,000 head of cattle and transforming the starch to sugar to ethanol.

The High Level Facility would be based on the next generation Poundmaker model; which has achieved historical returns of 25% to 33% annually.

Fuel ethanol is a renewable fuel that lowers emissions, reduces greenhouse gases, provides a hedge against rising fuel prices, and creates sustainable jobs in rural Canada.
