Wink Intimates: Entrepreneur Andrea Clair Named Women's Post 'Woman of the Week'

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 30, 2009) - Andrea Clair, president of Wink Intimates and inventor of the 9to5 bra, has been named Woman of the Week by Women's Post. The honour comes only one month after the successful launch of her company.

Ms. Clair has created a new category of bra, which covers up cleavage and helps transform eveningwear into more suitable office attire. The 9to5 improves wardrobe versatility and helps women get more mileage from outfits in their existing wardrobe.

The invention resulted from two years of searching for a bra, which both covered cleavage and reduced the need for bulky, layered outfits. When Ms. Clair realized a product like this didn't exist, she left her job and decided to pursue a solution to this challenge full time.

Since the launch on March 4, 2009, the 9to5 bra has become an overnight success and has been featured in the Globe and Mail, Chatelaine and now Women's Post. Andrea will also be competing on the reality TV show Dragon's Den this season.

Sarah Thomson, Publisher and CEO of Women's Post, developed the Woman of the Week feature to help recognize women who contribute to their communities, achieve success in business and are positive role models to other women. Women's Post Editor-in-Chief Justine Connely states: "With so many women achieving incredible things, the Woman of the Week feature is a great way to showcase exceptional women. If you know a woman who should be Woman of the Week, you can nominate her at Women's Post."
