Winners Announced for "Greater Reno-Tahoe Best Places to Work" Awards

Nine Companies Out of 49 Finalists Can Credit Stellar Employee Survey Results for This Success

RENO, NV--(Marketwire - April 28, 2008) - Server Technology, the industry leader for Power Distribution Unit and Management Solutions, announced today that it was a winner in the "Greater Reno-Tahoe Best Places to Work" awards. Three companies received honors in each category of small, medium and large employer, at the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada's Annual Luncheon.

The nine company winners were determined solely on the overall scores from confidential on-line employee satisfaction surveys. The surveys focused on ten criteria based on a satisfying working environment including: team effectiveness, trust with co-workers, manager effectiveness, feeling values and people practices, among others. Through a proprietary method the surveys were administered by Quantum Market Research who specializes in measuring workplace satisfaction. "What makes the 'Best Places to Work' awards unique is that winners are determined strictly based on the collective feedback of employees -- not the subjective opinion of a group of experts," said Greg Harris, president, Quantum Market Research.

Server Technology offers its employees outstanding benefits with low cost and high quality medical, dental and vision insurance. Other employee programs include tuition reimbursement, 401k with company matching, company paid disability insurance and an employee appreciation program.

Server Technology and its employees volunteer time and donate to many local organizations including; American Cancer Society Relay 4 Life, Local homeless shelters, Fernley Flood Victims, Ronald McDonald House, Junior Achievement and the Northern NV Food Bank. Local involvement in these programs ensures better quality of life for the whole Reno-Tahoe community.

"The winners and finalists of the 'Greater Reno-Tahoe Best Places to Work' awards have a competitive advantage in recruiting based on the endorsement of their employees. It's one of the only national competitions that are judged exclusively upon quantitative measurement of employee input," said Harris.

The nomination process was open to all companies in the Greater Reno-Tahoe region and 126 companies were nominated. Nominated companies were sent confidential online surveys to be completed and returned on deadline with a certain percentage of employee participation required.

The "Greater Reno-Tahoe Best Places to Work" awards are co-sponsored by EDAWN, the Northern Nevada Human Resources Association (NNHRA) and the Reno Gazette-Journal.
