Winners of Avenged Sevenfold's "Producer For A Day" Contest Announced

BURBANK, CA--(Marketwire - July 6, 2007) - Warner Bros. Records' Avenged Sevenfold have announced the winners of the "Producer For A Day" Contest launched June 21st via the band's website, MySpace page and Over 100 rabid A7X fans submitted two-minute video shorts exemplifying their creativity, passion and dedication to the band in order to win a chance to be A7X's "Producer For A Day."

Avenged Sevenfold frontman M. Shadows explains that "we ran this contest because we wanted fans to see us work in the studio. We wanted them to be part of the music we create. Although we would have liked to, we couldn't fly every fan out so we gave a few fans that showed their dedication a glimpse of how we make a record. It's as much a pleasure for us to have them be part of this process as it is for them to be here."

Avenged Sevenfold culled through the submissions and selected not just one, but two winners to fly out to California and spend a day in the studio with the band. Since when the submissions came in there were two clear-cut winners, Avenged Sevenfold decided to fly both fans out. Christopher Guinn from Providence, RI and Daniel McLaughlin from Oronoco, MN will meet the band and spend the day in the studio with them on Wednesday, July 11th.

Winner Christopher Guinn excitedly says that "being an Avenged Fan has this feeling of fraternity about it; it really is like a family in a way. Being able to say I was a part of their forthcoming album will just further that feeling of my being a part of the A7X family."
