Winterlude's Sub-Zero Concert Series Will Showcase Canadian Artists


GATINEAU, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Jan. 21, 2016) - Department of Canadian Heritage

The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Canadian Heritage, is pleased to welcome the artists who will liven up Confederation Park at the Sub-Zero Concerts during the 38th edition of Winterlude. This year, in addition to becoming an immense snow playground, Canada's Capital Region will showcase a number of Canadian artists throughout the weekends of Winterlude.

Canadian superstar Gregory Charles and the percussion and musical group Insolita will kick off the winter festival on Friday, January 29.

  • The Sub-Zero Concert Series features six acts who will be performing at 7:30 p.m. every Friday and Saturday evening on the Confederation Park stage. The concerts will take place throughout the Winterlude period, from January 29 to February 15, 2016.
  • January 29, 2016: Insolita will warm up the crowd before the official kickoff of the festivities. This percussion group offers visual and musical performances featuring multidisciplinary artists, dancers, acrobats, musicians and fire handlers. (www.insolita.ca)
