The mmwave Technologies Inc. unit of Wireless Age Communications, Inc. (OTCBB:WLSA), a leading supplier of solutions to the Canadian wireless communications industry, today reported that it now has WiMAX product available for its carrier and Wireless ISP customers.

"The promise of WiMAX is low-cost, ubiquitous Fixed Wireless Networks to match the ever-present Wi-Fi networks and hotspots that are becoming as common as air conditioning. You're just starting to expect to have wireless access available. WiMAX extends this premise from the local area to the city wide area," stated Glenn Poulos, President of mmwave. "Our company saw the importance of WiMAX and that is one of the reasons we joined the WiMAX forum at its inception, to get an opportunity to understand and influence this key growth area in telecom."

mmwave is one of the leading integrators of Fixed Wireless Networks, counting every major Canadian telephone company among its customers. The company works with several industry leading partners, including Redline Communications and Airspan Networks.

"Redline's RedMAX products are among the first in the world to receive WiMAX Forum Certification and be chosen by carriers for nation- and city-wide wireless broadband networks," said Keith Doucet, Vice President, Marketing and Product Management, Redline Communications Inc. "Redline's broad suite of wireless technologies have helped companies and individuals across Canada to access more advanced communications. Our RedMAX products will enable companies like mmwave to bring standardized wireless broadband solutions to Canadians."

Mr. Eric Stonestrom, President and CEO of Airspan Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ:AIRN), said, "Airspan is the market leader in providing a broad base of modular VoIP enabled WiMAX base stations, nomadic and fixed self install CPE devices and integrated WiMAX/WiFi network architectures for telephone company and ISP carriers, as well as industrial applications for mining and petroleum industry applications of WiMAX and WiFi. Airspan also has the broadest range of applicable frequencies for the Canadian market, ranging from 700 MHz to 5.8 GHz. We are very pleased that mmwave is showcasing our technology in Canada. We have developed an unparalleled product portfolio for wireless deployments, which will bring significant value to operators in countries like Canada, where broadband wireless digital connectivity continues to grow."
