Wisconsin Natural Acres Honey to Be Featured on Food Network's "Unwrapped"

CHILTON, WI--(Marketwire - October 5, 2009) - Wisconsin Natural Acres, producer of all-natural gourmet honey and home to millions of healthy and thriving honey bees, today announced the company would be featured on the Food Network primetime series, "Unwrapped." The episode, initially airing October 5th, 2009, takes a behind-the-scenes look at major companies in the honey industry.

To compose the segment, producers from the network's flagship show spent a day with WNA's master beekeepers, capturing each step in the artisan honey process, from the placement of the hives in fields rich with sweet white clover, to the extraction of the honey, a process done entirely without the use of any chemicals.

The Food Network's "Unwrapped," hosted by Marc Summers, uncovers behind-the-scenes details on classic American food, from peanut butter and chocolate syrup to French fries and bubblegum. Some recent companies featured on the show include Hershey's, Lay's and Pepperidge Farm.

WNA's artisan honey can be found at numerous Midwest retailers, including Fresh Markets, Sendiks, Sunset Foods, Treasure Island, Fox & Obel and Kohler Woodlake Market. For more retail locations and to purchase WNA's honey online, visit
