Wise Ape, A Performance Tea Company, Announces Partnership With National Brain Tumor Society

MARLTON, NJ--(Marketwired - June 29, 2017) - Wise Ape, an innovative performance tea company and lifestyle brand committed to providing health conscious consumers with access to uniquely developed and all-natural tea products, this week proudly announced they have established a partnership with the National Brain Tumor Society (NBTS), the largest non-profit organization dedicated to the brain tumor community. NBTS is fiercely committed to finding better treatments, and ultimately a cure, for brain tumors.

Especially important to the founder and CEO of Wise Ape, Joe Scola, who lost his father to brain cancer a couple years ago, the new partnership will enable Wise Ape to donate 10% of the proceeds garnered on their first product, Chocolate Hustle, to the National Brain Tumor Society.

"We're very excited to have partnered with such an amazing organization that's making a real change in the world," said Scola. "This movement is very close to our heart here at Wise Ape, and we will be donating 10% of profits from our Chocolate Hustle performance tea blend to NBTS to further support their important mission."

In 2014, Scola received the devastating news of his father's brain cancer diagnosis. He immediately packed up his belongings to move in with his father as he endured the terminal illness. While living with his father, Scola began researching alternative medicinal practices and the history of tea and natural herbal remedies. It was during this time that the spirit of Wise Ape was born - a company committed to altruism, health, and personal evolution.

Today, Wise Ape is more than just a tea company - it's a total community of like-minded individuals who are committed to a healthy lifestyle and persevering past life's greatest obstacles.

"Wise Ape was founded to help provide products to those that push forward on a quest of wellness, knowledge, and productivity," said Scola. "We look forward to continued collaboration with the National Brain Tumor Society, and hope to contribute to the eventual discovery of a brain tumor cure."

"Wise Ape Tea and the National Brain Tumor Society share the same commitment and dedication to improving the lives of others, and we are very happy about our collaborative partnership," said Samantha Masterson, Chief Advancement Officer at the National Brain Tumor Society. "We believe that brain tumor patients will benefit from this partnership through increased funding for groundbreaking research and public policy results that will improve the lives of people across the brain tumor community."

National Brain Tumor Society affects change across the drug discovery and development, policy and legislative, research, and clinical trial systems at all levels. The organization drives a multi-faceted and thoughtful approach to aggressively influence and fund research programs, as well as advocate for public policy changes, in order to achieve the greatest impact, results, and progress for brain tumor patients. Money raised by the generous donations of its supporters has directly funded groundbreaking discoveries, initiatives, clinical trials and public policy advocacy.
