With Only Four Weeks Still to Run in UB.com and AbsolutePoker.com's Yearly Tournament Leaderboard Competition, the Race for $100,000 and the Top Honors Gets Fierce

Just Over 1200 Points Standing Between 1st and 3rd Place on the Yearly Multi-Table TLB, Expect the Top Three Spots to Be Hotly Contested in the Last Month of Qualifying Play

MIAMI, FL--(Marketwire - December 1, 2010) -  This year's Tournament Leaderboard ("TLB") Competitions at UB.com and AbsolutePoker.com deliver a stunning prize pool of a million bucks divvied out directly to online poker players across the CEREUS Network in their weekly and monthly Sit & Go and Multi-Table Tournament ("MTT") leaderboards. But as we fast approach the end of the 2010 calendar year at the pair of online poker sites, it's the $100,000 prizepool up for grabs in the Yearly MTT TLB that's got players jostling for position. With only four weeks still in the hunt for a share of the Yearly MTT TLB dollars and the glory, expect the race to the finish line to come down to the wire.

Arguably the best Leaderboard competition in the business, there's $64,000 cash to be shared by the top 10 finishers:

1st $10K cash + $10K WSOP entry
2nd $5500 cash + $10K WSOP entry
3rd $10K cash
4th $ 7K cash
5th $5500 cash
6th $2500 cash
7th $1500 cash
8th $1000 cash
9th $ 500 cash
10th $ 500 cash

Plus, players who finish in the top 50 places receive automatic entry to a $36,000 freeroll, and the entry is worth a sweet $720.

Current state of play at UB's Yearly Leaderboard (at close of Nov. 30th) sees C_SWEENZ with 14,910.77 points in 1st place, FUTUREPROQQ in 2nd position with 13,837.79 points, RUBINB with 13,682.43 points in third, and BUSK9 (13,668.84 pts) and FRANKRICCARD (13,443.61 pts) rounding out the top five spots.

C_SWEENZ  from Saint Louis Missouri only started playing full-time poker six months ago. The 28 year-old's skill, tenacity and consistent performance at the tables have seen him soar to the top of the ladder, with his pedigree well proven, ranking in the top five places on the monthly MTT TLB no less than five times so far throughout 2010.

"I hope to win UB's Yearly MTT Leaderboard for 2010. I love the TLB yearly promo, and it's absolutely great for the game," said C_SWEENZ.  "I've put in a lot of hard work this year, and I'll be playing even more to accomplish that goal. Good luck at the tables everyone."

C_SWEENZ  has pulled away from the pack, holding a lead of 1000-plus points to his closest rival and is looking well placed to take out the top honors. He plans to use any prize money won to boost his bankroll, with the ultimate mission of improving his game and honing his talent at the felt. Should he go on to finish first or second place in the TLB comp, he'll have the ultimate chance to put his new skills to the test in Vegas at the 2011 World Series of Poker Main Event.

Hot on his trail is FUTUREPROQQ, a 24 year-old from Lincoln, Nebraska, who has been playing poker for about eight years, and online poker for six of those. He's competitive by nature, so when he's not grinding at the tables, he can be found either on the golf course or "gone fishing."

The 48 year-old RUBINB from Stamford, Connecticut knows how it feels to excel in the TLB competitions at UB, having finished ninth on last year's Yearly MTT TLB, and finishing at the top of the monthly TLB several times already this year. His most recent win came in the $15K GTD for $4,300.

BUSK9 is a 25 year-old resident of Glen Allen, Virginia, whose biggest accomplishment in 2010 is winning the $50K GTD, and taking 2nd in the $100K GTD on the same day. He grew up playing old school poker games like 5 Card Draw and 7 Card Stud, but caught the Texas Hold 'em bug in 2003, along with the rest of the world's wanna-be 'Moneymakers.' Any cash BUSK9 banks will be used to finance his honeymoon next April.

In fifth place, not far behind BUSK9, is FRANKRICCARD who has already won two MTT TLB prizes this year. The 62 year-old from Ontario, Canada can cite recent wins in the Network's $50K GTD and the $12.5K GTD amongst his many showings.

There's no better way to prove silky online poker skills over the long haul than taking down the UB/Absolute Poker Yearly TLB, and players still in contention for a share of the $100,000 in prizes will no doubt bring their best game throughout December. So, stay tuned to see how the ladder is stacked come 23:59 ET on December 31st, and keep an eye out for the all-new revamped 2011 Leaderboard competitions, open to all players across the CEREUS Network.
