"This is a clear indication of the acceleration of the evolution of digital devices," said Jesse Young. "These were considered state of the technology only a couple of years ago."

In the past new business devices could be expected to have a considerably longer brand life as companies launched upgrades and added new models to their ranges.

Now with the rise in Cloud technology and ever more powerful mobile devices such as smart phones and iPads everyone is looking over their shoulder worrying about the next "killer" product.
