With the UK's Economy Delivering More Bad News Jesse Young, CEO of Per DM Group Believes That We Should Look to the USA for Encouraging Signs of a Global Economic Recovery

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - May 4, 2011) - As the UK economy struggles to claw its way out of the current crisis Jesse Young, CEO of the Per DM Group, one of the UK's leading Outsource Sales organisations, sees how the USA is leading the developed world out of the Global economic recession.

"We only need to look at how the American automotive manufacturing industry has revitalised itself following the restructuring they were forced to undertake a few years ago," says Jesse. "For the first time in seven years all of America's 'big three' car makers are making money."

Chrysler for example, which collapsed during the financial crisis, has reported first quarter profits of $116m against a loss of $197m a year earlier.

"Historically it's the USA which leads the world out of recession," said Per DM Group's CEO. "It looks like we are seeing a return of business and consumer confidence in the North American economy. That is good news for all of us"
General Motors that went into bankruptcy in 2009 and had to take billions of dollars of government aid has had four profitable quarters under its belt. Its initial public offering last November helped to repay its loans.

Ford Motors, which nearly went into bankruptcy five years ago, is looking in even better shape with its eight consecutive quarterly profit announced last week. "2010 saw Ford reach its highest profits for a decade with a healthy $6.6bn bottom line," observed Jesse Young. "

Sergio Marchionne, CEO of both Chrysler and its biggest shareholder FIAT has stated that the company is on the "right path". "We're now in an extremely solid financial position," he is quoted as saying.

Per DM CEO Jesse Young believes; "Chrysler's rejuvenated product line has resonated with their customers leading increased sales."

The 'big three' have taken stock of their market position, listened to their customers and rationalised their product offering in order to compete with their international competitors. Loyalty is paramount in the automotive industry and clearly Ford, GM and Chrysler see the long term benefits in retaining their customer loyalty through quality and price.

"At Per DM we focus on programmes that increase our client's sales and build their brand," said Jesse Young. "In today's economic climate it is those companies that recognise the value of brand loyalty that will prevail."
