Wmode Signs Exclusive Distribution Agreement with Kryos for Velocity Mobile Platform

Enterprise Mobility Platform Now Coupled With Strong Professional Service Team

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - July 11, 2012) - Wmode announced today it has signed an exclusive global distribution agreement with Kryos Systems whereby Wmode will license and sell the Velocity Platform to enterprise customers. The partnership forms a strong combination of Kryos' Velocity Platform together with Wmode's professional services group resulting in an extremely experienced and capable delivery team to scope, design and deploy enterprise mobility solutions. The Velocity Platform will complement Wmode's other mobile solutions including ACE Billing, AppCarousel and other connected device solutions. As with all its products, Wmode will offer full 24x7 lifecycle support and optional hosting and operations of the Velocity solution.

The Velocity Platform provides enterprise customers the ability to rapidly mobilize enterprise systems in order to get the information they need onto feature phones, smartphones and tablets. The platform leverages Velocity's "interpreted-not-compiled" approach that is tailored specifically to enterprise requirements. Developers simply format their existing systems to produce Velocity XML on any web server and the Velocity flexClient renders the XML into a rich, compelling user interface natively for Android and BlackBerry including PlayBook™. Velocity also ships with a suite of HTML5 client libraries for platforms with rich browsers such as Apple's iOS devices.

Velocity's open-architecture allows an enterprise development team to use XML skills and systems they currently use every day; without additional middleware installation or compiling. This means developers can build a full, enterprise-ready native application in a week compared to many months with other platforms. Velocity customers also have access to numerous sample applications to help them get started.

"Wmode has a long history of providing mobility solutions to mobile carriers and media companies," commented Emanuel Bertolin, Wmode CEO. "With Velocity we are able to extend this strong knowledge and resource base into enterprise mobility."

"This Velocity licensing agreement is a win for all involved. Kryos gets the strategic partner we've been looking for, Wmode gets an additional path to leveraging their deep wireless expertise, and our enterprise customers get access to more scalable solutions and service offerings," said Trevor Nimegeers, CEO of Kryos.
