Woltz to Auction James River Land, Just Upstream From Historic Jamestown

SPRING GROVE, VA--(Marketwire - May 5, 2011) - Approximately 29 acres along the James River, near the historic Jamestown colony, will sell at auction Saturday, June 4, with Woltz & Associates managing the sale.

"This gorgeous land, just eight miles from the Jamestown Ferry, has 5/8 mile of frontage and is being sold with a very modest reserve. It will go to the highest bidder at or above $286,000," said Jim Woltz, president of the auction company.

The land had previously been the site of a 139-space RV/mobile home park, but all mobile homes have been removed, according to Woltz. "The shoreline has sandy beaches that can accommodate docks and riverfront home sites. Part of it also includes scenic bluffs with long views of the river. It's really suitable for a wide range of high-end uses."

The property also fronts on Sunken Meadows Road.

The auction will take place at noon on Saturday, June 4 at the Surry County Community Center. Interested parties may preview the land at any time, but auction representatives will be available on site to offer tours and property inspections on Sundays, May 22 and 29 from 1 to 4 p.m. Individuals seeking further information may contact Woltz & Associates at (800) 551-3588 or visit
