Womanradio.org Hacked During Launch

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 10, 2008) - The launch of Womanradio.org on International Women's Day went very well.

Listenership increased by the hour. We heard that groups of friends listened while enjoying homemade goodies. Followers of American politics laughed at the takeoff on the infamous Hillary Clinton campaign ad in the Angels of Flight promotion.

And then -the station was hacked. We are down but not off.

We have "moved in with a friend" womenlikeme.net for a few days. Visit this site and you will find the web radio station. The launch programming will be repeated, with new interviews and music added, while we rebuild the station.

Our Next Major Event -

Saturday March 16th is the anniversary of last year's major tainted pet food recall. Why is this a women's issue? In the 40 billion dollar US pet industry the average consumer is a 40 year old woman. They bought the food that killed or permanently injured thousands of companion animals. On PETitionz.org, 94% of the more than 167,000 visitors are women. Plus many women viewed the dead pets as canaries in the global coal mine: a warning that our children could be the next sacrifice.

The day will open with a song for the companion animals lost "Make a Change" written by well known composer and lyricist Yohanna Venderkley. There will be an interview with the lawyer involved with the first law suits versus Menu Foods, pet owners one year later, pet food testing labs and people working to restore trust in the food system.

"Please do not let this minor setback keep you from suggesting show topics" says womanradio.org founder Karen Fraser, "We are auditioning show hosts, reporters and local correspondents on an ongoing basis. Send us an outline of your ideas!"
