Women in Leadership Foundation: Montreal Business Women Share Secrets of Being Highly Productive and Happy

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Feb. 14, 2011) - On Thursday, February 17th, the Women In Leadership Foundation (WIL) will be hosting its Montreal Women in Business Luncheon: Secrets of Being Highly Productive and Happy, from 11am – 1:30pm, at McGill Faculty Club (3450 McTavish Street).

One of the top ten myths about lives of women is that "as a result of having better education, better jobs and better pay, women today are happier and more fulfilled than they were forty years ago". According to "Find Your Strongest Life" by Marcus Buckingham and surveys of more than 1.3 million men and women "the opposite is true".

How do women today find that balance between productivity and our own happiness? How do we empower not only ourselves but also the next generations to create change?

This year's panel will focus on these questions as prominent Montreal business women share their Secrets of Being Highly Productive and Happy. Each member of the panel will share their personal journey of success, how she overcame obstacles in her life to be successful in business and happy in life. The panel of speakers announced so far, includes:

  • Erica Diamond, Entrepreneur/Author/Radio Correspondent, Women on the Fence
  • Sarena Miller, President, Women's Entrepreneurial Exchange
  • Nancy Hammond, Vice President, Affinity Market Group, TD Insurance Meloche Monnex
  • Moderator – Laura Booker, WIL Representative

The luncheon, presented by TD Bank Financial Group, is WIL's business highlight of the year. The event is part of a National Spotlight Speaker Series that showcases female role models in business and fosters the expansion of networks. The Speaker Series is held in Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary and for the time this year in Montreal. Prominent and inspirational women will share their journeys of success, practical tips and inspiration. Funds raised will benefit the Women in Leadership Mentorship program.
