Women's Executive Healthcare Network Hosts Inaugural Event

X2 Healthcare Network to Provide Forum for Sharing Wisdom, Life Experience and Business Acumen to Positively Influence Healthcare

SOLVANG, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- January 8, 2007 -- X2 Healthcare Network (X2HN), a trade association dedicated to enhancing healthcare delivery and supporting all areas of female healthcare executives' professional and personal lives, will receive women from all sectors of healthcare at its first event next week in Santa Barbara, Calif. Members and guests will convene to share ideas, competencies and resources to improve healthcare leadership, policy and delivery, and encourage professional and personal growth.

The agenda features world-renowned speakers, including Margaret Heffernan, author of "HOW SHE DOES IT: How Women Entrepreneurs are Changing the Rules of Business Success"; and Donna Hill Howes, president of StayWell Productions, and producer of the International Health & Medical Media Awards, more commonly known as the "Oscars in Health & Medicine." Esteemed healthcare leaders, such as Sandra Bruce, president and CEO of Saint Alphonsus, and Sandy Summers, executive director of the Center for Nursing Advocacy, will share their stories and passion for transforming healthcare.

X2HN is led by an advisory board that includes:

-- Stacey Empson, partner and northeast region healthcare leader, IBM
    Global Business Services
-- Cheryl Greene, co-founder and executive producer of Dr.Greene.com, the
nation's most active pediatric health portal
-- Leslie Kelly Hall, director of technology consulting, HDR Inc.
(formerly CIO and vice president of marketing for St. Alphonsus Health
    System)
-- Gale Wilson-Steele, founder and chief strategy officer, MEDSEEK

According to Wilson-Steele, X2HN executive director and spokesperson, "Through my experience in growing MEDSEEK, a nationally recognized leader in eHealth portal development, I've learned to appreciate that success is due primarily to creating strategic relationships with customers, partners and innovators who help to envision the future. For over a decade, MEDSEEK has been focused on advancing online communication in healthcare, which is just part of the puzzle. To make an impact involving all stakeholders, X2HN will provide a forum for successful businesswomen to build relationships that allow them to discover and create strategies that will help to transform healthcare.

This two-and-a-half day event is designed to encourage the creativity and networking that comes from spending quality time learning from others and sharing adventures, such as a field trip to the Santa Ynez wine and horse country. We're changing healthcare, and we're changing the way executive women can access each other."

X2HN will organize meetings throughout the year, including two major events -- one aligned with a major national healthcare conference (such as HIMSS), and the other dedicated to personal and professional inspiration, rejuvenation and relationship building.
