Woodbridge Closes Sale of Empire Facilities Management Group

NEW HAVEN, CT--(Marketwire - Jul 16, 2012) - Woodbridge International is pleased to announce the sale of its client, Empire Facilities Management Group Inc., to Charter Facilities Services Inc., a portfolio company of the New York-based private equity firm, Charterhouse Group Inc.

Headquartered in Bohemia, New York, Empire offers integrated facilities service solutions to over 100 corporate clients in 120,000 locations across the U.S. and Canada. The Company's capabilities range from day-to-day maintenance and repair to full retail build-outs, including planning, design and construction.

Established in 1973, Charterhouse has invested in excess of $2.0 billion in equity and established over 100 platform companies with a focus on executing buy-and-builds within the Healthcare Services, Business Services and Consumer Products and Services sectors. 

In its announcement of the deal, Charter Facilities said, "Benefiting from access to substantial growth equity, Empire will strengthen its position as an industry-leading retail, restaurant and commercial facility maintenance and management company, offering single-source solutions across the continental United States, Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, Canada, and the Virgin Islands."
