Woodloch Resort Offers Guests the Opportunity to Zip Through the Fall Foliage

HAWLEY, PA--(Marketwire - Sep 9, 2011) - Woodloch Pines, a Poconos family resort, is ramping up for the fall season by announcing its fall festivities with a zip. This summer, The Pines introduced for the first time a Zip Line, which had been on their wish-list for over four years. Guests pay a nominal fee to reserve and after being securely fastened, soar down a six-hundred foot cable, dropping vertically fifty feet in the process, and end the ride forty feet up in the scenic Pocono Mountain canopy. The adventure doesn't stop there, the experience concludes with a "Tarzan Swing" where zip-liners take a leap off the platform and are safely lowered to the ground.

"The fall is the perfect time to experience the new Zip Line as it is a unique way to witness the magic of the fall colors," states John Kiesendahl, owner and president of Woodloch Pines Resort. This Poconos family resort makes significant strides each year to continually add to the activities, adventures and experiences for their guests. The fall foliage Zip Lining will be available starting early September through mid-November, weather permitting.

The inspiration behind adding the Zip Line to the list of activities available at the family resort was the acclaimed Haunted Hayrides. Originally, the staff would use mini Zip Lines during the Haunted Hayrides to create a real scare. The staff and guests thought it was so unique, that they expanded it to be a true Zip Line experience for all to enjoy. Of course the fall season kicks off the 2011 Haunted Hayrides which all guests can enjoy beginning October 9 through November 10. The Haunted Hayride is a 25 minute hayride through the thick wooded forest in the Poconos beginning after dark. This tradition has evolved over the last 20 years by adding new fright-inducing components each year.

All-inclusive fall vacations start at $328 for a 2-night, 6-meal, double occupancy adult weekend package in October and November.
