Word of Mouth Marketing Association Accepting Entries for 2011 WOMMY Awards

Awards Focused Solely on Business Results From Word of Mouth

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - May 11, 2011) - The Word of Mouth Marketing Association (WOMMA) today announced at its annual School of WOM conference in Chicago that it is accepting entries for the 2011 WOMMY Awards. Since 2006, the WOMMY Awards program has recognized the people, agencies, and brands behind the most remarkable word of mouth marketing campaigns.

The WOMMY Awards, co-chaired by David Rabjohns, CEO of MotiveQuest, and Ted Wright, CEO of Fizz, are the only awards focused solely on business results from word of mouth. The 2011 Awards will once again recognize the best ideas and most effective campaigns in word of mouth marketing today.

"There is a tremendous amount of interesting social network and word of mouth activity going on right now, but it is unclear what is fluff and what is effective," Rabjohns said. "The WOMMY awards are designed to sort out the very best word of mouth that works."

In response to the rapidly evolving world of word of mouth marketing, WOMMA has added three new award categories this year.

Best customer relationship program that demonstrates how engaging with customers has impacted sales, changed purchasing behavior, brand perception, and satisfaction levels in the market.
