Working Families, an independent organization concerned with giving a voice to working women and men, announced the largest and most sophisticated website for the Ontario election. Simply by registering, every voter in Ontario will have the opportunity to have his or her voice heard. The site has been months in the making and offers the following features;

- You Decide contest - invites Ontarians to submit their own ads. The winning ad will be incorporated into the Working Families ad rotation on television during the election.

- Ask the Leader - the first video site in Canada where voters can post questions to the party leaders. Each day the videos will be sent to the respective parties and any response will be posted online.

- Get Involved - the first province wide calendar for all candidates meetings. Utilizing Meet Up technology, individuals can organize meetings to discuss the provincial election.

- Discuss the Issues - allows for individuals to share their point of view on the hot issues of the day.

People who register will be able to post entries to their Facebook site and bookmark articles in del.ici.ous and diggit.

"This will be the one place where you can get information about the parties, share your views and ask your questions," said Patrick Dillon, spokesperson for the Working Families. "We have built a cutting edge site that utilizes the latest technology and takes advantage of the power of the Internet and social networking."

The website was built by Ontario based Filemobile (, one of the hottest social media companies in the country. Filemobile provides social media platform services for a variety of large scale media companies, advertisers, agencies and not-for-profit organizations. According to Steve Hulford, "We saw this as a great opportunity to provide our product to a client that gives people a chance to get involved in this election through the power of the Internet. This site is fully interactive and enables a conversation with users about the issues. The more people visit the more the content changes."
