Filmgoers receive exclusive privileges when they use their Visa cards

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Sept. 5, 2007) - As the exclusive card of the Vancouver International Film Festival, Visa is pleased to offer Visa cardholders exceptional privileges, including early access to tickets, as well as special ticket packages and passes.

The advance purchase opportunity is an exclusive benefit offered to all Visa cardholders. Filmgoers who use their Visa cards can buy tickets from September 8 to 14 - a full week before they go on sale to the public. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Visa Charge-by-Phone line at (604) 685-8297 or by visiting or one of the advance box offices.

Visa cardholders can also access special packages and passes, including the Visa Screening Room Pass. The popular pass provides admittance to 10 exciting films at the Visa Screening Room, located at the Empire Granville 7 Cinemas. In recent years, the venue has hosted notable and award-winning films, such as Volver, The Queen, Away From Her, and Cache. The Visa Screening Room also hosts the Opening and Closing Night Galas.

"Visa strives to provide the best Festival experience for Visa cardholders through advanced purchase opportunities and exclusive ticket packages," said Brenda Woods, Vice President, Marketing, Visa. "As a major sponsor of the Vancouver International Film Festival since 1998, Visa continues to provide Visa cardholders with exceptional savings and benefits."

The 26th Vancouver International Film Festival takes place from September 27 to October 12, 2007. The advance box offices are located at Empire Granville 7 Cinemas, 855 Granville St., and the Vancouver International Film Centre & Vancity Theatre, 1181 Seymour St.
