The World Poker Store Awards Fourth $10,000 WSOP Main Event Seat and Hosts an Over 750 Player Tournament Weekend

LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - August 15, 2007) - The World Poker Store (PINKSHEETS: WPKS), a Nevada corporation with corporate offices in St. Paul, MN, hosted its fourth Texas Hold 'em State Finals Tournament at Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel in Morton, MN, on Saturday, August 11th. With over 540 players in the state finals on Saturday and 27 teams (8 players per team) competing in the Team tournament Friday night, the World Poker Store's Bar Poker League hosted close to 1,000 players and guests during the weekend of Poker. Players qualify for the state finals hosted at local casinos through the Bar Poker League's progressive point system accumulating points over a 6-month period during play at local bars and restaurants. The casino partner awards the $10,000 WSOP Main Event Seat grand prize along with airfare to Las Vegas and accommodations for the World Series of Poker held annually in July. The Bar Poker League currently has 25,000 plus registered members and will continue to grow through expansion into other states in 2007. Mitch Minick from Lino Lakes Minnesota took top honors at this event and joins the ranks of past State Champions Barb Silberglitt of Mora, MN, Jamin Neppl of Eagan, MN, and Katie LeBeau of Mankato, MN, each of which competed in past WSOP Main Events and enjoyed other perks including hanging out with poker pros Phil Hellmuth, Marcel Luske, Hoyt Corkins, Johnny Chan, Patrik Antonius and Liz Lieu as part of their time spent at the WSOP with The World Poker Store.
