LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - Jun 4, 2012) - Hailed by the Los Angeles Reader as a "genius of acoustic guitar wizardry" and winner of multiple Guitar Player magazine awards, Adrian Legg ( celebrates the release of his latest recording 'Slow Guitar' with a highly anticipated 17 city U.S. tour this July that hits cities on the East Coast and in the Midwest. The jaunt kicks off Saturday, July 7 at Down Home Guitars in Frankfort, Illinois.

The London born, UK based musician and composer also brings his "astonishing virtuosity" (Q Magazine) and "narrative melodies and nakedly emotive tones" (Atlanta Journal-Constitution) to his performances. 'Slow Guitar,' Legg's first album since 2004's critically acclaimed 'Inheritance' and first ever self-released project, features compositions from the past two decades that audiences have requested at his shows; fans have also been inspired to share stories about the significance of these songs in their lives.

After cutting his teeth in several working bands in England and Ireland as an electric player, Legg switched to acoustic and won a Guitar magazine solo acoustic competition in both the composition and performance categories. The readers of Britain's Guitarist magazine later named him Acoustic Guitarist of the Decade (1984-94). He later won Best Acoustic Fingerstylist four years running, Best Overall Guitar Album and Best Acoustic Album twice in the Guitar Player readers' poll.

Legg is a technical visionary known for his melding of acoustic and amplified guitar modes; a magazine writer and author; and at large commentator for NPR's "All Things Considered," where millions hear his variations on the show's theme music.
