World's Biggest Brain Gets People Thinking

Yahoo! Answers Gives the World a Chance to "Tease" the Biggest Brain Trust With a Colossal Event in Times Square

3-Day Answering Event Seeks to Answer the World's Toughest Questions

LOS ANGELES, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- June 13, 2006 -- Throw out your dictionary. Get rid of your encyclopedia. And, as for your almanac, well that's suddenly obsolete as well. Yahoo!'s unveiling of a two-level brain terrarium overlooking New York's Times Square kicks off Yahoo! Answers' "Ask the Planet" campaign, a month-long program seeking to reveal and find answers to the Planet's most mind boggling questions.

Perched atop the world famous marquee of the Hard Rock Café and housed beneath a gigantic purple brain (complete with firing synapses and lobes), 22 brainiacs from the Yahoo! Answers community will answer the world's most pressing questions for nearly 3 days.

Yahoo! Answers is a new product that leverages the world's knowledge to help consumers -- even those thousands of miles away -- find answers to their toughest, most riddling questions!

From June 13th through 15th, passersby will be able to peer into the inner-workings of the brain, stopping by to ask any questions that come to mind. And as for Internet users around the globe, well they will be able to watch the brain buzz live online via live continuous webcast coverage of the event. Consumers can ask the brainiacs questions of their own by simply visiting Yahoo! Answers at

Celebrities expected to stop by include Arianna Huffington, Deepak Chopra, Orny Adams, Todd English, Beth Ostrosky and many others.
