LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - Nov. 12, 2010) - The world's largest and newest cruise ship arrives for the first time into its new home, Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale (Florida).

The new ship left the STX shipyard in Turku, Finland on 29 October 2010 and will arrive into its homeport on Thursday 11 November at approx 9.00am (ET) berthing at terminal 18.

At 225,282 GRT (gross registered tonnes) Royal Caribbean International's Allure of the Seas can accommodate over 6,200 guests and is 360 meters and 5 mm long (1,187 feet) – if stood upright bow to stern the ship would dwarf the One Canada Square building at London's Canary Wharf and New York's Chrysler building.
