Unlike Google's Gmail, in which its private/invitation-only signup lasted almost 3 years, TrustedWebmail will be available to the general public 7 to 30 days following the private signup. Gmail was also in a beta format from April 1, 2004 till July 7, 2009. TrustedWebmail is launching in two parts, its webmail platform and its administration platform. Only its administration platform is launching in beta format.
