NASHVILLE, TN--(Marketwired - Oct 4, 2013) - Chem-Dry, the world's largest carpet, rug and upholstery cleaning franchise, has named Casper Steenkamp of South Africa its Master Franchisee of the Year.

Steenkamp has overseen aggressive growth of the Chem-Dry brand in South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Namibia and received his award during the Devere International Convention, which was held Oct. 2-4 in Nashville, TN. The convention brought together business partners who have helped Chem-Dry expand to more than 40 countries.

"Casper is a perfect example of the type of business partner that Chem-Dry seeks out: Smart, savvy and eager to help entrepreneurs start their own businesses using Chem-Dry's patented equipment and cleaning solutions," said Joe Manuszak, who overseeing global development for Chem-Dry.

Peter Snow and Ed Quinlan also received the Trailblazer Award for their work developing a new business management tool for Chem-Dry operators worldwide. The software makes it easier to schedule jobs, manage routes, handle invoices, accept payments and collect information about customers that can be used to generate repeat business.

The software is just the latest example of the innovation that has helped make Chem-Dry a growing global brand. Chem-Dry, which has 3,500 franchises in 35+ countries, is in the midst of a global expansion. The company has identified several target markets including France, the Philippines, Turkey, Germany, Taiwan, India, Iceland, Brazil, Argentina and Chile -- places where eco-conscious consumers are expected to find Chem-Dry's cleaning method particularly appealing.

Chem-Dry uses all-natural, green-certified cleaning solutions and patented equipment to clean a wide array of floor surfaces such as rugs, carpet, stone and tile as well as other surfaces including upholstery and drapes, serving both the residential and commercial markets. Chem-Dry's hot carbonating extraction method uses 80% less water than steam cleaning, so it's better for the environment. And its primary cleaning solution, The Natural®, is green-certified and does not contain phosphates or detergents, making it safe and non-toxic for kids and pets.
