Worldwide Energy and Manufacturing Announces Chinese Patent Applications for Solar Panel Technology Improvements

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA and SHANGHAI, CHINA--(Marketwire - March 4, 2009) - Worldwide Energy and Manufacturing USA, Inc. (OTCBB: WEMU), a U.S.-based China manufacturer specializing in the manufacturing and distribution of solar modules in the commercial sector, today announced that it has applied for eight Chinese patents in solar module technology that range from improvements in voltage receiving capacity to production process improvements, power output increases and design enhancements. Described below are two of the most important technologies surrounding the patent applications.

Double Wiring PV Modules: effectively prevents a hot spot effect which leads to an inconsistent performance of modules. Once a hot spot effect occurs, it can be immediately replaced and therefore, there's no need to replace the existing module with a new one, saving both time and expense.

Central Reinforcing Module: provides increased structural integrity, allowing a module to sustain a strong impact of hard objects caused by weather disasters such as hurricanes and tornadoes.

CEO Jimmy Wang stated: "We are extremely proud of the technologies developed around these patents applications. Our technology provides us with a number of competitive advantages, including more efficient and longer-lasting modules, which saves the end-user both time and money in the long-term. We also believe that our phenomenal growth over the last 12 months in our solar division is partly a result of going to market with superior solar module products."
