Worthington Receives Silver Level HealthLead™ Workplace Accreditation

Elevated to Silver From Bronze Level Status in 2011

COLUMBUS, OH--(Marketwired - Oct 9, 2014) - Worthington Industries, Inc. (NYSE: WOR) announced today that it has received HealthLead™ Workplace reaccreditation by US Healthiest, a non-profit dedicated to making the U.S. the healthiest nation. Through a comprehensive two-step accreditation process, including an online assessment and site visit, Worthington was elevated to Silver status, an improvement from Bronze in 2011.

HealthLead's Silver level accreditation represents an integrated and comprehensive approach to employee health and well-being, while demonstrating positive outcomes that impact the company's bottom line. "We are very proud to achieve HealthLead accreditation for the second time," said John McConnell, Chairman and CEO. "Making health and wellness resources readily available to our employees and their families is a top priority, and the improvement from Bronze to Silver status, is a great recognition of those efforts."

Worthington is being honored on Oct. 10 at HealthLead's 3rd Annual Forum in Minneapolis, Minn., along with 18 other HealthLead Accredited organizations, including Target Corporation, Nationwide Insurance, ASTHO, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the City of Dublin, OH and the North Dakota Department of Health, among others. To maintain accreditation status, organizations go through reaccreditation every three years.
