WPP's Joost Dop Joins Project: WorldWide as CEO EMEA

DETROIT, MI--(Marketwired - Sep 4, 2013) - Project: WorldWide, the global agency network that holds such entities as George P. Johnson (the largest experiential marketing company in the world), Spinifex Group, and Raumtechnik, today announced that Joost Dop has joined the company as Project: Worldwide CEO EMEA, effective immediately.

"As we build Project into the first global network dedicated to engagement marketing, we value those leaders who have performed well in multi-platform marketing environments," said Robert G. Vallee Jr., Chairman & CEO of Project: WorldWide. "Joost is one of those leaders. He stands out for his prowess in managing large brands with complex needs. We are confident he will deliver on his mandate to make this region one of the top performers in our network."

Dop was most recently COO at TeamHSBC for WPP, operating out of its London office. In that role, Dop oversaw the delivery of integrated marketing services to HSBC across more than 50 markets. He spearheaded HSBC's first global branded content cross-media program, 'The Ideas Exchange,' a series exploring the minds shaping global business. He also led a global digital acceleration program to enable HSBC to put digital customer engagement at the heart of everything they do.

"This is a big hire for us," said Laurence S. Vallee, President of Project: WorldWide. "EMEA is a very important region for Project: WorldWide and we wanted somebody who could take us to the next level. We have a number of great clients here and the opportunity for us is to demonstrate how we can grow business for those clients by creating richer engagement and better marketing ROI. Joost has a clear vision on how we can do that and we are thrilled to have him on board."

In his new role, Dop will be responsible for overseeing the expansion of Project: WorldWide's offering in the EMEA regions. Reporting to Laurence S. Vallee, Dop will set the strategic vision and drive growth across the region. Operating out of Project's London office, Dop will also be a member of Project: WorldWide's Senior Leadership Team.

"Project: WorldWide is an organization that fundamentally believes in the commercial power of creativity, and that an experience is more impactful than an exposure. That perspective informs the way in which we serve our clients and the way we are accountable for the things we make and do," said Dop. "I am very excited to be joining a company in this capacity when there is such high-quality and driven people already in place."

Dop began his career at Unilever where he held various positions in innovation, brand and product management roles. At Young & Rubicam Amsterdam, Dop held roles in brand consultancy and as managing director of a digital creative agency. He then joined MEC where he rose in the ranks and was most recently CEO for APAC, overseeing 21 offices in 14 markets as well as being a member of the GroupM APAC Exco and the Global Board of MEC.
