WSA Announces Call for Entries to 12th Annual Industry Achievement Awards

Annual Awards Gala Recognizes State's Finest Technology Achievements

SEATTLE, WA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- November 9, 2006 -- WSA, the state's oldest and largest technology trade organization focused on ensuring Washington State's leadership position in the digital economy, announced today that it is accepting applications for the 12th annual Industry Achievement Awards, the annual technology awards gala that recognizes the state's most outstanding technology achievements in a variety of categories.

The 2007 IAA event will take place March 21, 2007 at the Westin Hotel in Seattle.

"The Industry Achievement Awards have become one of the highlights for the state's technology industry," said Kathy Wilcox, WSA president. "The industry has made some remarkable strides over the past year and we anticipate a very strong response to this call for entries."

Awards will be presented in the following categories:

--  Business Product of the Year
--  Consumer Product or Service of the Year
--  Service Provider of the Year
--  Best use of Technology in the Government Entity or Non-Profit Sector
--  Technology Innovator of the Year
--  Breakthrough Technology of the Year
Applications are due by Friday, Dec. 1 and are available on WSA's web site, Companies do not have to be WSA members to apply.

WSA's Industry Achievement Awards celebrate companies and agencies which best demonstrate innovation and excellence in technology. IAA finalists have made significant contributions to the way we work and live, from business and consumer applications to contributions to public service.

The annual awards banquet is considered to be one of the technology industry's most prestigious events and attracts more than 1,000 business and community leaders who drive the growth of Washington State's technology industry.
