WTM Commences Airborne Geophysical Surveys in Mexico and West Timmins

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 27, 2006) - West Timmins Mining Inc. (TSX:WTM) announced today that it has engaged Aeroquest International to complete airborne magnetic and electromagnetic surveys of it's Montana de Oro, West Timmins, Yoquivo and Trout Bay Projects using Aeroquest's next generation helicopter-borne, high resolution AeroTEM II system.

Surveying of the Yoquivo Project, funded by partner Konigsberg Corporation (OTCBB:KGBC), has commenced and Aeroquest is expected to complete work on the other project areas over the next three to four weeks.

"The planned airborne survey of our extensive West Timmins and Montana de Oro holdings will be the largest, most detailed and highest resolution surveys of both projects ever undertaken," said Darin Wagner, President and CEO of West Timmins Mining Inc. "We anticipate the airborne data will provide both immediate drill target definition for our on-going drill programs at Montana de Oro and in West Timmins, as well as providing a wealth of geological information to guide our continuing exploration activities on all projects."

West Timmins Mining also reports that it has now completed seven diamond drill holes on the Wakemac Property and an additional five holes on the Beach Property as part of a minimum 12,000 metre diamond drill program currently underway on the West Timmins Project. One drill has now been mobilized to the Thorne Property where it will begin testing additional targets associated with the Golden River Deformation Zone in the vicinity of the 4800 Zone.

In Mexico four holes have now been completed testing the El Rodeo Zone on the Montana de Oro project where the Company plans to complete 5,000 metres of diamond drilling during the current campaign. Samples from a number of these holes have been delivered to certified analytical facilities in Canada and Mexico and results will be reported as they become available.
