WV Fiber Leverages telx's Colocation Facilities to Complete Major Upgrades in Its Network

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - September 5, 2007) - WV Fiber, LLC (WVF), a Nashville, TN-based next-generation service provider, has announced the completion of major upgrades to its network infrastructure. WV Fiber has leveraged its relationship with telx, their Core Interconnection and Colocation provider to extend its network offering to over 500 customers located in telx's facilities across the United States.

To enhance customer experience, WV Fiber's past year has been spent redesigning and implementing new line capacity and hardware design using Cisco 6500 and Cisco 7606 series routers. The WV Fiber new network infrastructure topology consists of three 10Gig rings, with each ring providing at least two diverse paths; an eastern ring connects London, New York, Chicago, Las Vegas, Atlanta and Ashburn; a western ring connects Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and San Jose; the third ring circumferences the United States.

WVF's relationship with telx is paramount to their continued success. telx operates 13 Meet Me Room and Core Interconnection facilities nationwide. WV Fiber has POPs in Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York and San Jose which provides WVF customers requiring access to WV Fiber's network multiple options for diverse access. In addition, customers who require IP transit can leverage WV Fiber's peering network which consists of over 450 direct peers offering smooth and fast connections to most of the Internet.

"We are pleased to colocate with telx wherever possible," stated Peter Marcum, Chief Executive Officer of WV Fiber. "telx provides us with the most diverse range of options for buying and selling our network connectivity and services."

"We are thrilled that our Core Interconnection business model can be a springboard for WV Fiber's success," comments Hunter Newby, Chief Strategy Officer of telx. "By upgrading their network and extending their services to the greater telx community, not only is a validation of what we do, but a win for other customers requiring diverse and reliable IP connectivity, content creation and management services from within our facilities."
