WWF-Canada: Media Advisory-Canadians to Fight Climate Change One Step at a Time

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 17, 2009) -

More than 6,000 people are expected to come out and help WWF-Canada fight climate change by climbing the CN Tower this Saturday, April 18.



Who: People of all ages will use their energy and passion for the
environment to climb the CN Tower's 1,776 steps and help WWF-Canada
fight climate change.

Interviews can be arranged with climb participants and WWF-Canada
staff.

What: Canada Life CN Tower Climb for WWF-Canada

Where: CN Tower (301 Front Street West, Toronto)

Media - please check in at the media table located just inside the
entrance of the CN Tower to arrange interviews and for access to the
Tower.

When: Saturday, April 18, 2009
6:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Ribbon Cutting 6:00 a.m.

Why: This is one of the few chances to climb the CN Tower and an
opportunity to come together with thousands of other environmentally
concerned Canadians in support of WWF-Canada. The climb is a fun and
challenging event and it is expected that this year's climb will
raise $1.2 million to help fight climate change - the biggest
environmental threat to our planet.
