WWF-Canada: Media Advisory; Support for Vancouver's Earth Hour Grows

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Feb. 25, 2008) - On March 29, Vancouver will be one of the official international cities turning off its lights for Earth Hour. Earth Hour, coordinated by WWF, the global conservation organization, will bring together people from all over the world to show their support for action on climate change. Mayor Sam Sullivan will join WWF-Canada in celebrating the growing support from partners for this lights-out event. BC Hydro has joined Earth Hour and is encouraging other local businesses, community organizations and residents to come together to make Earth Hour in Vancouver a success. Participation is as simple as signing on at wwf.ca/EarthHour and turning off your lights at 8pm on March 29.

WWF-Canada, City of Vancouver, and The Vancouver Sun are the official Earth Hour partners that have brought Earth Hour to Vancouver.
